Sunday Social on a Monday

This week's interview questions are:

1.  Favorite type of workout you do?
I love to walk. But not on a treadmill.  I like to walk around town and see all the beautiful yards, landscaping, etc.  I have no problem taking a few minutes to visit with someone outside.  This is just another added perk.  When the girls were younger and I was usually pushing a stroller, it was nothing for one of the other girls to be pushing a toy stroller with a baby doll.  No, I may not be a speed walker, but I am a happy walker.

2.  Favorite guilty pleasure candy or sweet?
I love ice cream or pie or pie with ice cream or cobbler or brownies or warm cake with NO frosting.  I especially love Strawberry Shortcake or Strawberry pie.....oh my, I am hungry now.

3.  What is one thing you consistently forget to do?
Send papers back to the school with my signature or send lunch money.  I go through the backpacks and get them out, but then forget completely about them.  Oh well, could be worse.

 4. Post its or Phone Reminders?
Both.  I keep a memo pad on my phone, but I still use post its for work.  I like that I always have my grocery list or Walmart list with me now that I use the phone more.

5.  Favorite picture currently on your phone that always makes you smile?
I have almost 500 pictures on my phone right now.  I wouldn't know how to choose.

Daybook....

Good Morning, I am linking up with  The Simple Woman's Blog  for the weekly Daybook For today... February 9, 2015 Outside my window .... Chilly (in the 30's for a high) but no snow.  Most of the snow has melted from the warm temps this weekend. I am thinking ... that I had a great, great weekend with my family. I am thankful. .. that my children view each other as important.  We had to plan Lucy's birthday celebration around Katie's work hours because she just started her new job and can't request time off.  Lucy would have never considered celebrating her birthday without her big sis present. I am wearing. .. my sparkly sweater again.  I must need the sparkles to handle a Monday morning. I am creating ... nothing at the moment, but do have some unfinished projects.  My mind has been exhausted lately and I am just chilling and puttering around. I am praying ... for a family decision that could make a huge difference in our live...

It's OK

Time for some grumbling, snarkiness, and maybe a little bad attitude... So who came up with flowered scented dish soap?  Someone who drinks perfume?  This is just so gross. Really. Why must the good foods be fattening?  Why is Coca Cola bad for your weight, health, teeth, etc. but so good for your mood?  I would say that it is just me but the fact it is a billion dollar industry would contradict that, just sayin. Why did God not give me the love of cooking to match my love of eating home cooked foods?   Where do all my socks go? Really, my house is not that big. Is it really necessary to get hot sweats at night?  Wouldn't society be better if the menopausal women at least were well rested?  I think I need a snickers, I am definitely in Diva mode today!!

Your Favorite Christmas Tradition

We have developed many traditions for our family over the years.  We always open one present on Christmas Eve, we have Grinch Punch on Christmas Eve, we lay out cookies and a beer for Santa (this has been since my childhood), sprinkle oatmeal in the yard for the reindeer, have sparkling grape juice and chocolate eclairs on Christmas morning, and we go see a movie as a family on Christmas afternoon at the movie theater.   Leading up to Christmas we have chocolate advent calendars, have fun with R.J. our Elf on the Shelf, go to the surrounding towns that have light displays on a  snowy evening, attend  the Santa breakfast in town, and enjoy the school's Christmas program.   We have many family dinners and get togethers to attend to wish everyone a wonderful holiday and spend quality time with the ones we love.    My favorite tradition?  Probably leaving cookies and beer for Santa.  I don't know how it started but...
