I have to admit, I am a little addicted Pintrest.  I love all the quotes, clothes, decorating tips, food (which I will probably never make) etc. It seems like I am on the computer a lot but it is actually my phone when I have down time and am waiting on things.  I feel like I hurry and wait quite a bit.

I thought I would share some of my recent favorites on here....

Both of these are quotes I need to remember.  I need to step out of my self imposed walls based on what I feel other's want me to do or be.  I need to be confident in my own opinions, preferences, and callings.  I am not a wall flower by any means, but I do like to be liked.

Does any one else ever find the day to day a little boring?  I do and I do not want to be like the woman in this quote.  We can find the excitement when we look for it.  When we create it.  This quote is a little snarky, something I am quite often.  A trait I am working on changing.

How cute!! I am already tired of sweaters and want warm weather and spring/summer clothes. However, not a fan of the high heels they keep pairing with these outfits....seriously??

This reminds me of my Dad and the squirrel in our tree when he was still alive.  The squirrel would come up on the porch when the feeder was empty.   They were buddies.

I love the flannel and sparkly together.  I think I have the items to recreate this look.  I am going to try tomorrow!!!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, this advent tree.  I am going to ask my father in law to help me make it for next year....I am excited.

So...I have almost 2000 pins on Pintrest.  You can check out more on there.  All of these images are from Pintrest and can be sourced back to the owners.  None of the above images on this post are mine.

Daybook....

Good Morning, I am linking up with  The Simple Woman's Blog  for the weekly Daybook For today... February 9, 2015 Outside my window .... Chilly (in the 30's for a high) but no snow.  Most of the snow has melted from the warm temps this weekend. I am thinking ... that I had a great, great weekend with my family. I am thankful. .. that my children view each other as important.  We had to plan Lucy's birthday celebration around Katie's work hours because she just started her new job and can't request time off.  Lucy would have never considered celebrating her birthday without her big sis present. I am wearing. .. my sparkly sweater again.  I must need the sparkles to handle a Monday morning. I am creating ... nothing at the moment, but do have some unfinished projects.  My mind has been exhausted lately and I am just chilling and puttering around. I am praying ... for a family decision that could make a huge difference in our live...

Friday's Fav Five

Today I am joining it with a new link up for me.  It is hosted by  Living to Tell the Story .   My Friday Fav Five list goes something like this... 1. My three older girls were still up watching television together when I went to bed last night.  My room is right next to the living room so I could hear their conversations.  Although I wasn't ease dropping, I did start to listen.  They were talking about casual and personal things.  I realized that they are all growing up and their conversations with each other are growing as well.  It was like listening to a group of 3 women talking over coffee.  My heart wanted to burst and I may have teared up or actually cried..... maybe. I am so thankful for this wonderful bond they will have with each other for the rest of their lives. 2.  I am just thankful it is Friday.... we have had snow and strep throat at our house this week.  I am ready to shut the books on this we...

Your Favorite Christmas Tradition

We have developed many traditions for our family over the years.  We always open one present on Christmas Eve, we have Grinch Punch on Christmas Eve, we lay out cookies and a beer for Santa (this has been since my childhood), sprinkle oatmeal in the yard for the reindeer, have sparkling grape juice and chocolate eclairs on Christmas morning, and we go see a movie as a family on Christmas afternoon at the movie theater.   Leading up to Christmas we have chocolate advent calendars, have fun with R.J. our Elf on the Shelf, go to the surrounding towns that have light displays on a  snowy evening, attend  the Santa breakfast in town, and enjoy the school's Christmas program.   We have many family dinners and get togethers to attend to wish everyone a wonderful holiday and spend quality time with the ones we love.    My favorite tradition?  Probably leaving cookies and beer for Santa.  I don't know how it started but...
