Five on Friday

Welcome back Friday (you are such an awesome day of the week!)

1.  This week we had our company Christmas party.  We went for Sushi !!! We had about 10 different rolls to choose from....oh my word :)  and then we finished up with Crème Brulee....I really needed to be rolled out of the restaurant.  Of course in a few hours I was hungry again.  I would have loved to go back for more.

2. Family Christmas at my in laws.  K and C made this beautiful relish tray tree and of course we had lots of pictures taken....

3.My beautiful niece Ellie turned 9 (no way!!) this week and I made her a scarf  and ear warmer wrap.  She of course makes it look Gorgeous :)

4.  At another family dinner L let her Uncle Dan pull her loose tooth.  It was more than ready, but this gal made bank with all the sympathy money she received.

5.  New Years Eve was low key (just like I like it). We went out for pizza as a family.  Since the gals were decorating their place mats with their "boyfriends" names.  I decided to do the same.  I can't believe I had to explain the True Love Always and True Love Forever symbols.....am I considered retro?

Happy Friday everyone and have a safe and wonderful weekend :)

Friday's Fav Five

Today I am joining it with a new link up for me.  It is hosted by  Living to Tell the Story .   My Friday Fav Five list goes something like this... 1. My three older girls were still up watching television together when I went to bed last night.  My room is right next to the living room so I could hear their conversations.  Although I wasn't ease dropping, I did start to listen.  They were talking about casual and personal things.  I realized that they are all growing up and their conversations with each other are growing as well.  It was like listening to a group of 3 women talking over coffee.  My heart wanted to burst and I may have teared up or actually cried..... maybe. I am so thankful for this wonderful bond they will have with each other for the rest of their lives. 2.  I am just thankful it is Friday.... we have had snow and strep throat at our house this week.  I am ready to shut the books on this we...

On the Books for January 5, 2015

Today I am joining up with The Simple Woman to give you a peek into my daybook for this week...   Outside my window.... There is a light dusting of snow.  Nothing too intimidating...yet.   I am thinking... That a salad for lunch sounds good today.  I do not usually like salad so this is a little  weird. I am thankful... That I was able to spend quality time with my people the past week and a half.  I am wearing.... Work attire :( no more sweats until whenever I have to leave the house.   I am creating... I just purchased some new yarn over the weekend.  So I am getting ready to start a new scarf and some boot cuffs.   I am going... To Walmart on lunch.  Yep, back to normal this week.  I am wondering.... How many days until the next holiday :)  I am reading.... Just my devotional this week.  I am doing Jesus Calling again this year and maybe the Women of the Bible devotional as ...
