9 Little Confessions

Linking up with E, Myself, and I for a little....

1.  I have seriously been off my better eating routine since Halloween and am having trouble getting my mojo back.

2.  I can't remember to buy milk since the snow apocalypse and had cappuccino today because "I just wasn't sure".

3.  I am reading 5 different books right now (not exaggerating) and working on a Bible Study.  Can we say A.D.D ?

4.  I have mastered the Electric Slide and the Cupid Shuffle for my resolution of learning some group dances, but I will probably never show anyone but my girls. Don't get me wrong, I love to dance, just not in the coordinated, looks obvious if you mess up kind of way.

5.  I  am buying an "old lady bench seat" this week to take to my girl's games. The bleachers are killing me.  I will probably buy one for Doug as well, since he is old too:)

6.  I am so tired this week I could have went to bed at 7 pm every night.  I did sneak in a couple naps while "reading."

7.  I have started planning my week night meals around how many dirty dishes it will produce.

8.  I am enjoying the rain because it makes the snow go away faster.

9.  This list was supposed to be 10 Little Confessions but I can't think of anymore :)

Link up and share your midweek confessions :)

Daybook....

Good Morning, I am linking up with  The Simple Woman's Blog  for the weekly Daybook For today... February 9, 2015 Outside my window .... Chilly (in the 30's for a high) but no snow.  Most of the snow has melted from the warm temps this weekend. I am thinking ... that I had a great, great weekend with my family. I am thankful. .. that my children view each other as important.  We had to plan Lucy's birthday celebration around Katie's work hours because she just started her new job and can't request time off.  Lucy would have never considered celebrating her birthday without her big sis present. I am wearing. .. my sparkly sweater again.  I must need the sparkles to handle a Monday morning. I am creating ... nothing at the moment, but do have some unfinished projects.  My mind has been exhausted lately and I am just chilling and puttering around. I am praying ... for a family decision that could make a huge difference in our live...

Friday's Fav Five

Today I am joining it with a new link up for me.  It is hosted by  Living to Tell the Story .   My Friday Fav Five list goes something like this... 1. My three older girls were still up watching television together when I went to bed last night.  My room is right next to the living room so I could hear their conversations.  Although I wasn't ease dropping, I did start to listen.  They were talking about casual and personal things.  I realized that they are all growing up and their conversations with each other are growing as well.  It was like listening to a group of 3 women talking over coffee.  My heart wanted to burst and I may have teared up or actually cried..... maybe. I am so thankful for this wonderful bond they will have with each other for the rest of their lives. 2.  I am just thankful it is Friday.... we have had snow and strep throat at our house this week.  I am ready to shut the books on this we...

Your Favorite Christmas Tradition

We have developed many traditions for our family over the years.  We always open one present on Christmas Eve, we have Grinch Punch on Christmas Eve, we lay out cookies and a beer for Santa (this has been since my childhood), sprinkle oatmeal in the yard for the reindeer, have sparkling grape juice and chocolate eclairs on Christmas morning, and we go see a movie as a family on Christmas afternoon at the movie theater.   Leading up to Christmas we have chocolate advent calendars, have fun with R.J. our Elf on the Shelf, go to the surrounding towns that have light displays on a  snowy evening, attend  the Santa breakfast in town, and enjoy the school's Christmas program.   We have many family dinners and get togethers to attend to wish everyone a wonderful holiday and spend quality time with the ones we love.    My favorite tradition?  Probably leaving cookies and beer for Santa.  I don't know how it started but...
