Listening to.... Ahhh, the sounds of the outside world.  It is neither too hot or too cold to have the windows open. I love the outside.

Loving...  I do love fall.  Not as much as summer, but a definite close second.  I love crisp air,  hoodies (by the way, I bought a really cute Under Armor one), and all the other fall activities.

Thinking... I am going to make apple butter this weekend.  Doug's Grandma has an apple tree and he brought me home a big 5 gallon bucket of apples today.  Of course, that will only make a crock pot of apple butter, but anyway....yummo!!

Wanting...one more pedicure.  Katie has homecoming this weekend, so Saturday, I will indulge with her....yeah, yeah, yeah :)

Needing.... not a thing.  We could skip grocery shopping, clothes shopping,etc... and be just fine.  Life is so, so, good right now.  Content.

Trick or Treat....this is such a treat.  My favorite recipe is one for Baked Pineapple that my dear friend Joy gave me.  My family becomes giddy when I make it  Here it is for you and your family to share as well.

Baked Pineapple 2 cans chunk pineapple (drained)
1/2 c flour
1 c sugar
Mix together and put in a 2 qt baking dish.
Crush 1 sleeve ritz crackers and soak in 1/2 c melted butter. Spoon on top of pineapple mixture.

Friday's Fav Five

Today I am joining it with a new link up for me.  It is hosted by  Living to Tell the Story .   My Friday Fav Five list goes something like this... 1. My three older girls were still up watching television together when I went to bed last night.  My room is right next to the living room so I could hear their conversations.  Although I wasn't ease dropping, I did start to listen.  They were talking about casual and personal things.  I realized that they are all growing up and their conversations with each other are growing as well.  It was like listening to a group of 3 women talking over coffee.  My heart wanted to burst and I may have teared up or actually cried..... maybe. I am so thankful for this wonderful bond they will have with each other for the rest of their lives. 2.  I am just thankful it is Friday.... we have had snow and strep throat at our house this week.  I am ready to shut the books on this we...

On the Books for January 5, 2015

Today I am joining up with The Simple Woman to give you a peek into my daybook for this week...   Outside my window.... There is a light dusting of snow.  Nothing too intimidating...yet.   I am thinking... That a salad for lunch sounds good today.  I do not usually like salad so this is a little  weird. I am thankful... That I was able to spend quality time with my people the past week and a half.  I am wearing.... Work attire :( no more sweats until whenever I have to leave the house.   I am creating... I just purchased some new yarn over the weekend.  So I am getting ready to start a new scarf and some boot cuffs.   I am going... To Walmart on lunch.  Yep, back to normal this week.  I am wondering.... How many days until the next holiday :)  I am reading.... Just my devotional this week.  I am doing Jesus Calling again this year and maybe the Women of the Bible devotional as ...
