Never Ever Ever

I love this Link Up...   Never Ever....   Will I not love a rainy, stormy day when I get to stay home.  I know, me the weather complainer just said that :)   Not miss being a stay at home mom.  I drove my kiddos to school today (Cassie was walking by choice, if you saw her). I really love doing that. I was of course wearing my pajama pants, but I don't get why I feel the need to brush my teeth when I don't feel the need to get dressed...lol   Will I not love Halloween.  I love the dressing up and of course the candy is a plus.   Will finding a new app that I love not excite me.  I love Timehop which tells me what I have posted on Facebook on the current day in the past years.  I should apologize, I am a BORING poster....lol  And I am loving the Walgreen's app.  See I told you I am boring.   Will I not love being a Farmer's wife during Harvest....it just makes me so proud to know how impo...

Five On Friday

This is my weekly link up with the blogs listed below......       1. This was a picture from Katie's last Youth in Harmony Festival.  She has been doing this annually for the last four years.  The kids all did a great job as usual.      2. This week seemed to be a "meeting week" at work.  All I seemed to get done was going to meetings.  I thought the snacks at one of them was were just adorable and yummy too.  Actually all of the meetings this week went well and were very productive....score.   3. Fred loves Katie so much.  He is always so comfy and content in her arms.  I couldn't resist the cute captions either.         4.  I want this outfit......         5.  Senior night for Football.  The Lady T's had a Halloween themed dance.  It was really good and I am very proud o...

The Pumpkin Patch

Last Sunday we made our annual trek to the local Pumpkin Patch.  We had a great time as always. We took our pictures in every hole in the picture frame, played in the hay maze, checked out the "haunted barn" which is really not scary, and looked at all the animals.  And then of course we ate.  Pumpkin ice cream and apple cider/apple cider slushies are always on the menu but this year we had homemade potato chips with cheese.  Yummo!!! This will definitely be on the annual menu from here on out.    This year we purchased our pumpkins somewhere else (more economical), so there was no reason for a wagon.  We also gave up the stroller several years ago, so we were hands free this year.  It was a much easier walk around the patch.     I told the girls I think the Pumpkin Patch is my Happy Place :)  A good time was had by all......

Midweek Confessions

Today I am linking up with the blog listed below for some "midweek confessions".....   This week started with a trip to the Pumpkin Patch on Sunday.  It was a great time and will be its own post so... you will have to wait for those pictures.   Katie had her last Youth In Harmony program on Monday.....sniff sniff....It is really sad to be doing all these "last time" things as a Senior.  I have given her permission to flunk out of school and live on her mama's couch for the rest of her life.   Thank goodness she turned it down...she is such a good girl.   I have been going through my phone and deleting pictures.   This is exhausting.  I have recently learned there is a phrase for me.  An IPhonetographer....at least I am finally taking some pictures of things.  My digital camera was never charged.    I cleaned out my two "junk drawers" in the kitchen.  It is about time and I didn't need ...

The Bag Lady

Ok, this is a what works for me post....I am a bag lady.  Not the kind who lives on the streets, but one who definitely lives out of a bag.  Case in point, these are my two "work" bags.  One I carry to work everyday with my mail to read, umbrella, sometimes lunch (encased in it's own "lunch" bag), etc.  The other is a bag I use while at work for when I have appointments, etc.    I also have my library book bags at home.  By the way, I frequent 3 different libraries.  I have my church bag and my children's church bag.  I have started to combine these two.  We also use to have a 4H bag, we have a piano bag, and the list goes on and on.  If I did not have my bag system, I would be A Mess!!   I must admit, I am a complete and total lover of all things totes.  I have so many, I would probably have heart failure if I tried to count up the number I own.  I practically become giddy when I go to a conf...

Five on Friday

My Oh My, These Fridays seem like they are coming up on one another like crazy!!  Here are my five for Friday for this week.....   1.  When I went to get the mail today I got my IPSY bag and it was just absolutely perfect for me and I cannot wait to try out this month's products....yeah!  And the checkbook I ordered from Current came and it couldn't be any cuter.  Score!      2.  I actually took a selfie that I liked.  I felt like a teenager because I wanted to post it.... BTW I was sitting waiting on a train and was BORED !!      3. This weekend we are going to a "wiener" roast and this picture just cracked me up because we are a wiener dog family, and one of ours is actually named Fred....so funny!!   4.  Madi went on a youth group overnight and they had to dress like Duck Dynasty.  I think she made a pretty impressive Uncle Si if I do say so myself :) ...

Never Ever Ever

Never ever ever....   Will I understand why the library workers where I usually go seem mad or grumpy all the time. They work in a quiet environment with books. I would be in my happy place. Will I not wish cussing was ok.   I have a lot of swear words in my head but thank goodness for the self control to keep them there. Some days they just roll off like butter though....oh boy.  At least they are not the "real bad" ones...    Will I not wish I had about 4 more hours in my day, one I would use to sleep longer.   Not love a good thunderstorm. However, I do prefer to be inside when it happens.   Will Reese's Pieces not remind me of E.T.  Oh, how I love those little candies.     Link up with the above blogs so I can read your Never Evers!!

Blessed Sunday...My Testimony

I have been thinking a lot about my testimony.  I don't feel like I have an earth shattering moment when I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, so I have decided to just tell my story.  My Jesus story.....  It will probably take more than one post, so I am going to start with my childhood in this one.    My first real Jesus memories are when I lived in Kentucky and was about 4 or 5 years old.  My Dad was in the army and my mom always went to church on post at the chapel.  Howevcr, I got on the church bus and went to a Baptist church one town over.  I am not really sure how that evolved, but my momma always felt that where you were being spiritually fed was where you should go, and even though I was young I preferred that little Baptist church in E town, so that was where I went.   My Sunday school teacher was a very pretty lady, I can't remember her name.  I remember that she told us she had a horse and I rememb...

Five On Friday

Wow, Friday already??!! My Five on Friday list..... 1. I got a mammogram this week. Really, when the mobile van is practically in front of your building you  do not have an excuse... 2.  It was family fun night at the school Wednesday and our family really did have fun.  Kudos to the  Elementary teachers!! 3. I had a headache for three days....yuck :(, I am happy that is over. 4. Tonight is a home game which means I get to see K dance and visit with my favorite people. 5. Tomorrow is Saturday and I don't have to get up at 6 am.....YES!!!!

One Big Truth

This is one of my biggest struggles.  Being a people pleaser has caused me a lot of heartache in my life, but following Jesus brings peace, although there is still adversity.    Matthew 16:26   For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul?  Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?   Lamentations 3:24   "The Lord is my portion,"  says my soul, "therefore I will hope in him."   John 15:20   Remember the word that I said to you: "A servant is not greater than his master." If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you.  If they kept my word, they will also keep yours.

Never Ever Ever

Never will I prefer fall / winter clothes to spring / summer cuteness. Not love to sleep....lol (can you tell I am tired?) Not love a good book. Not love a good children's book. Not love the library. Not miss my kids during the day. Not crave chicken and noodles when it is cold outside. Link up with the above blogs and share your never evers!!

October Currently

Listening to.... Ahhh, the sounds of the outside world.  It is neither too hot or too cold to have the windows open. I love the outside.   Loving...   I do love fall.  Not as much as summer, but a definite close second.  I love crisp air,  hoodies (by the way, I bought a really cute Under Armor one), and all the other fall activities.   Thinking... I am going to make apple butter this weekend.  Doug's Grandma has an apple tree and he brought me home a big 5 gallon bucket of apples today.  Of course, that will only make a crock pot of apple butter, but anyway....yummo!!   Wanting... one more pedicure.  Katie has homecoming this weekend, so Saturday, I will indulge with her....yeah, yeah, yeah :)   Needing.... not a thing.  We could skip grocery shopping, clothes shopping,etc... and be just fine.  Life is so, so, good right now.  Content.   Trick or Treat.... ...

Never Ever Ever

I am really enjoying the link ups and meeting new bloggers....so here we go again... Never ever ever... Will I not be frustrated that I am such a clutter bug.  I am actually not as attached to things as I once was, but getting the time to go through and pitch stuff is so limited. Will I not love Homecoming week in this small town.  I especially have enjoyed this time since I have had a high schooler.  Poster making, puffy shirt decorating, hearing about float building....love love love!!!! Will I understand the Junior High Mind....nor do I really want to.  This is such an awkward age.  Are boys this weird?? or dramatic?? Will I not enjoy Pintrest surfing....so  many great ideas, so little time. Will fall not remind me of my Momma.  We did so many fun fall activities and went to so many festivals together.  Have a great Tuesday and check out the blogs listed on the button :)
